Maze STORMGUARD R-114 Series R114530 Hand Drive Siding Nail, 1-3/4 in L, 14 ga, Carbon Steel

Code: NN11829
Category Maze Nails

Description

Maze STORMGUARD® plain and ring shank cedar shake and shingle nails are double hot-dipped galvanized, which conform to ASTM standard A153, class D and conform to the nail specifications of the cedar shake and shingle bureau for non-saltwater areas. These slender, stiff nails resist splitting, bending and effectively resist rust. Nails should be long enough to penetrate sheathing at least 3/4 in. Use only two nails per shake or shingle approximately 3/4 in from edge and 1-1/2 in above the butt line of the next course. Nails should be driven flush, but not so far that the nail head crushes the wood. Excellent for typical, non-coastal (over 15 miles from salt-water) residential applications not utilizing pressure-impregnated preservative or fire-retardant treatments.
