Description

BlueDEF is the complete diesel exhaust fluid for modern selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. It helps your diesel car or truck reduce emissions and support fuel economy while meeting EPA 2010 requirements. DEF is not a fuel or a fuel additive. It is a high-purity solution of 32.5% automotive-grade urea and 67.5% deionized water that is ISO 22241 and API certified.

During operation, DEF is injected into the exhaust stream and passes over a catalyst, converting harmful NOx into nitrogen and water vapor, components naturally found in the air we breathe. The formula is non-flammable and non-toxic when used as directed. Always handle DEF with clean, dedicated equipment to prevent contamination, and fill only the DEF tank designated for this purpose.

Typical use is about 2 to 3 percent of diesel fuel consumption, depending on load and duty cycle. Store sealed in a cool, dry place. DEF freezes at 12°F and can be thawed and used without loss of quality.
